Lucky for us at Stitch Productions, we got to get up close and personal with the ‘Fake Sibling’ band, shooting an intimate live music performance music video, which is now part of a series called “Oakhurst Sessions”. Episode 1 being the magical track “Words I Never Said”

earlier this year, Fake Sibling are back with their inspiring new song,
‘Despondent’ to soundtrack your Sunday morning soul searching, candle lit
baths and nocturnal musing.
Fake Sibling’s music can be described as ‘dream pop’ or ‘electronic chill’,
with influences from the likes of Pink Floyd and Fleetwood Mac through to
Bonobo and Portishead.
Seamlessly fusing a harmony of uplifting and melancholy, the Melbourne trio
infuse star-seasoned soundscapes and intricately woven percussive
tapestries, undulating across their trademark smooth riffing bass lines and
blissed out beats.
Effortlessly shot through with glimmers of guitar melodies, the bright light of
Sophie Officer’s celestial vocals dance among precise production to earn
them comparisons to The XX, Bonobo and London Grammar.
Adam Beath, Dave Gillan and Sophie Officer draw on years of stage and
studio expertise between them, which radiates out of each song and spirited
performance. Their musical relationship has flourished over the 18 months
they’ve been together, deepening a creative and playful connection as ‘Fake
